I am Dodo Muolhoi, born and raised in Haflong, Assam. I am a digital creator. I have a wandering mind and a broad range of interests. I do not think I lead a particularly interesting life, but I am opinionated and assertive, if that counts.
I like music, computers, and science, but sadly I am pretty trash at all of them. I am more of an end-consumer fanboy than a contributor.
I grew up reading comics, so naturally, I’m drawn to visual art and movies. I dabble in 3D and VFX using Blender, After Effects, Substance Painter, and EmberGen, but I just mostly follow tutorials and play around.
I know a bit of Python, but aside from setting up static websites with templates like this one, most of the custom tools I build are AI-generated so I’m not really a dev either.
My goal in life is just to make a tangible impact. Something real, and something I won’t be ashamed of down the road, hopefully.
This website is a personal archive, a quiet digital garden for long form writing, journal entries, personal letters, and selected work.
What I Do↗
My work centers around language documentation and preservation for Hmar, including an ongoing Wikipedia Incubator project to bring our language further into the digital space. I also write personal correspondence, maintain this archive, and document thoughts on culture and society.
A Note on the Restart↗
This website is a fresh restart. A while back my GitHub account was suspended unexpectedly. Even though the old site stayed live for a short period, I lost access to the original repository for my custom static build and a chunk of my written posts. Luckily I managed to recover an older local commit.
Instead of rebuilding a custom site from scratch and dealing with constant technical headaches, I decided to go back to an SSG template model using Astro and a customized version of Lipi.
After being offline for almost a month, I am rebuilding the archive from the ground up. I have initially redacted all of the posts while I go through them, slowly curating, restoring, and making selected entries public again.
